
FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 11, 2017)Ā ā After an extensive and deliberative search, the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers (KAM)Ā announced in September that a new executive director hadĀ been selected.
Lee Lingo, who startedĀ on Sept. 18, came to KAM from the Hopkins County Regional Chamber of Commerce, where he served as president & executive director. Lee has a passion for economic and workforce development and demonstrates the energy and vision to lead KAM into an increasing level of service to our members.
Jackie Hogan, vice chair, KAM executive board of directors and member of the search committee, said, āLee will serve as a change agent, both internally and externally, to better position KAM as a champion for Kentucky manufacturers. We look forward to working with him to grow and strengthen KAMās efforts to make Kentucky the hub of manufacturing excellence in the U.S.ā
āI am excited to come to KAM at a pivotal time in its history,ā saidĀ Lingo on his acceptance of the position. āThe opportunity to work with manufacturing, education and governmental leaders to grow manufacturing is one I accept with great enthusiasm. I look forward to serving the manufacturers of Kentucky to assist them in becoming even stronger.ā
Current President & CEO Greg Higdon stated, āI couldnāt be more pleased with the selection of my successor to lead KAM. After 23 years of involvement with KAM, the last eight as its leader, my intent is to leave the organization in good hands for future growth.ā
Higdon announced his pending retirement earlier this year.
Lee looks forward to seeing many of the KAM partners during Manufacturing Month in October.
