FLORENCE, Ky. (Sept. 20, 2016) â Gateway Community and Technical College is ranked the No. 1Â provider of online education in the state of Kentucky and ranked 57th in the nation, according to a recent release by OnlineColleges.com.

To identify the best online colleges in the U.S., OnlineColleges.com reviewed data from National Center for Education Statisticsâ Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) to rank over 2500 accredited colleges and universities that met the following criteria:
· Level of institution is either âFour or more yearsâ or âAt least two but less than four yearsâ
· At least one percent of students are taking at least some of the classes via distance education
The ranking was based on a 11 factors, including affordability, student services and the availability of online programs.

Gateway offers nearly 80 online courses taught by over 120 certified online facilitators. In fall 2016, there are over 3200 online course enrollments.
