LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Jun. 9, 2016) â Brown-Forman announced today that Michael McShane, senior vice president, managing director of the company’s Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia region, will retire on Oct. 31, 2016.
McShane and his team were recognized by the Australia Beverage Industry as the âSupplier of the Yearâ in 2015. In addition, he successfully implemented an ambitious Brown-Forman brand-building strategy resulting in a number of coveted industry awards, including âBest Sales Achievementsâ for the Jack Danielâs trademark.
âUnder Michaelâs leadership, Jack Danielâs has become Australiaâs most valuable spirits brand based on share and value growth,â said Brown-Forman President, Europe, North Asia, and ANZSEA Thomas Hinrichs. âWe congratulate Michael on his successful Brown-Forman career and wish him well in his future endeavors.â
McShaneâs 17-year career at Brown-Forman started in 1999 as finance director for Brown-Forman Beverages based in Sydney after serving in a variety of roles for Swift & Moore, then distributor for Brown-Forman brands in Australia.
