Teddi Hibberd, AIA, Senior Associate at Omni Architects, has received the AIA Kentucky Emerging Professional Award, recognizing leaders licensed under ten years who demonstrate
exceptional dedication to AIA, the design industry, and community.
Since joining Omni in 2015, Hibberd has driven significant improvements in internal workflows, advancing firm methodologies. Among her contributions, she developed a code review workflow to enhance design intent, created a project management worksheet for resource tracking based on historical data, and launched initiatives to help staff define professional philosophies and extract valuable project insights.
Her influence extends beyond Omni, serving on local and state AIA boards and leading community initiatives like The Plantory, a non-profit incubator, and United Way’s “Get on Board”
program, which trains aspiring board members for effective leadership. She’s also a graduate of Leadership Lexington and Leadership Central Kentucky and was selected for the 2024/25 AIA KY Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program.
Omni President Eric Zabilka praised her mentorship, noting, “Teddi has the heart of a mentor, freely sharing her accomplishments, struggles, failures, and triumphs with younger colleagues. She does this with humility, inspiring and encouraging others to do the same. I can’t wait to see what she’ll accomplish in the coming years.”
