HEBRON, Ky. — As the 2024 holiday shopping season approaches, Amazon announced today that it’s hiring for 250,000 full-time, part-time, and seasonal roles across the U.S., including 3,000 positions in Kentucky.
The company said its seasonal Amazon jobs offer competitive pay, flexible schedules and the opportunity to be part of the bustling retail industry during its busiest time of year. Many of the seasonal jobs have the potential to transition into regular, full-time employment after the holidays.
Amazon has created more than 22,000 jobs across Kentucky supporting communities from large cities like Louisville to small towns like Campbellsville. Since 2010, Amazon has invested $43 billion in the state, including infrastructure and compensation to its employees.
Earlier this month Amazon announced its largest wage increase ever for our hourly associates. Front-line team members will be getting at least an additional $1.50 per hour starting this month, which will bring the average base wage to more than $22 per hour.
“Our employees are the heart and soul of our operations, and we’re excited to welcome new members to the team,” said Karthik Bagavathi Pandian, Amazon Air Hub general manager. “On top of Amazon Air Hub’s starting wage of $22.50—up to $25 depending on their shift—and industry-leading benefits on day one, we’re proud to provide a safe, innovative work environment where employees can grow their careers.”
Interested applicants can go to amazon.com/localjobs or text NEWJOB to 31432 to sign up for job alerts. Open roles are posted throughout the holiday season and fill up quickly so be sure to check back for updates.

All seasonal employees earn at least $18 per hour, and have access to comprehensive benefits like health care coverage from their first day of employment. Approximately one-third of seasonal employees stay on year after year with seasonal employees who stay at the company seeing an average pay increase of 15% over their first three years.
Amazon provides career advancement opportunities with access to earned pay at any time; health, vision, and dental insurance from the first day on the job; a 401(k) with company match; up to 20 weeks of paid pregnancy/parental leave for birth parents (six weeks for eligible supporting parents); Amazon Prime employee discount, and Amazon’s Resources for Living program, a free benefit offering mental health and financial services and support for employees, their families, and their households.
The length of a seasonal worker’s time with Amazon can vary. Across the retail industry, seasonal roles typically range from a few weeks to months. Many people who join Amazon as a seasonal worker return for additional work, including transitioning to becoming a full-time employee. Locations adding seasonal workers in Kentucky include Campbellsville, Hebron, Lexington, Shepherdsville and Louisville
