JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC, one of Kentucky’s largest and most well-established law firms, announces a strategic acquisition of Jeffersonville, Indiana law firm Applegate Fifer Pulliam (AFP), effective Thursday, August 1, 2024.

This acquisition enhances SKO’s presence in Louisville and expands its footprint into Jeffersonville, particularly strengthening its capabilities in real estate, commercial finance, and business services.
“AFP attorneys have a strong reputation for excellence in the legal community, and adding them to SKO aligns perfectly with our ongoing commitment to being a market leader and serving our clients at the highest level,” said P. Douglas Barr, managing director of SKO. “By joining forces with AFP’s talented attorneys, we can expand our bench and gain a physical presence in Jeffersonville, a natural extension of our existing footprint in these key markets. Southern Indiana is a strong market with anticipated future growth, and we are thrilled to be part of this momentum.”
AFP will continue to serve its existing clients without interruption, and SKO’s existing leadership structure will not change. Attorneys joining the SKO team include Abigail Fargen Riley, Alan Applegate, Alex Gaddis and Keith Pulliam.

“We at AFP are excited to join forces with SKO,” said Keith Pulliam. “This move allows us to offer our clients an expanded range of services locally while still providing the personalized attention they’ve come to expect in Southern Indiana. We’re excited to contribute our skills and experience and become part of SKO’s exceptional team.”
With approximately 170 attorneys across Kentucky and Indiana, SKO represents clients on the local, state, national, and international levels. The Firm’s attorneys have experience in more than 50 practices and industries, working out of six offices – including the new Jeffersonville location.

“This combination presents exciting opportunities for professional growth and development as we combine our strengths and expand our resources,” Barr said. “This strategic move enhances our capabilities and better serves our clients. Our dedication to professional excellence and community service will continue to guide us as we provide innovative legal solutions to meet the evolving needs of businesses and individuals.”
