Lexington, Ky. â Creative marketing agency Cornett has promoted two executives within its Creative department. Kathy Martinolich is now a senior copywriter and Jason Majewski is a creative director. They will report to ECDs Whit Hiler and Tim Jones.
Martinolich is a prolific senior copywriter who loves to tell stories. In her two and a half years at the agency as a copywriter, sheâs worked for clients including Tempur + Sealy, the University of Kentucky, UK HealthCare, VisitLEX, Sazerac, Laneâs End Farm, and Keeneland.
Martinolichâs projects have won national awards, and she has been recognized in top industry publications. From helicopter pads to heart surgeries, her career has led her to places no one would ever expect a copywriter to go. She helped shape UK HealthCareâs reputation with the award-winning âI Am/We Are Proofâ campaign, an assignment she researched by observing open-heart surgery.
Jason Majewski is a newly minted creative director-wordsmith-strategist who has been at Cornett for nearly a decade. Formerly ACD, he has done noteworthy work for clients Tempur Sealy International, Procter & Gamble, Valvoline, A&W Restaurants, the University of Kentucky, UK Athletics, and UK HealthCare.
Majewski is on Cornettâs Vision team, which serves as the heart of the agency and ensures our purpose is known and everyoneâs values are aligned. Other noteworthy accomplishments include branding Lexingtonâs signature Railbird Music Festival, creating an award-winning campaign for Kentuckyâs #1 hospital, and helping break a Guinness World Record for âThe Worldâs Loudest Indoor Crowd Roar.â He also co-hosts Lexingtonâs chapter of CreativeMornings monthly.
âPromoting Kathy and Jason was a no-brainerâthey earned it in every way,â said Whit Hiler. âAside from being thoughtful, talented, and dedicated creative partners for our clients, they embody Cornettâs vision and values and are always willing to go the extra mile. Beyond client work, theyâve each stepped up to contribute in ways that evolve our community and agency for the better. I couldnât be prouder to call them friends and colleagues.â
