Largest jury verdict ever in Bullitt County history
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 22, 2012) ā Jim and Debby Carter, residents of Bullitt County, and owners of Truck America Training, have struggled over a 40-acre tract of land for more than seven years over a 40-acre tract of land. In less than one hour, a Bullitt County jury ruled unanimously in the Cartersā favor.
Bullitt Circuit Judge Rodney Burress ruled in January that the city of Hillview breached its contract with Truck America Training over the proposed purchase of the land.
The $11.4 million award is believed to be the largest jury verdict ever awarded in Bullitt County history for a civil case.
