PADUCAH, Ky. (July 2, 2012) — The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce announced last week that 30 individuals have been selected to participate in the 26th annual Leadership Paducah Class.
Class members will take part in a nine-month educational course beginning in August with a weekend retreat and ending in June 2013 with their graduation.
Leadership Paducah is designed to foster an in-depth understanding of Paducah-McCracken County’s many and complex interrelationships. The goal of the program is to develop the leadership potential of men and women in the community, create business networking opportunities and to encourage active community involvement.

The selection process is administered by the Leadership Paducah Foundation (LPF) Board of Directors and a list of criteria for participants can be found at www.leadershippaducah.org. The selection process includes civic/community involvement, leadership skills/potential and diversity among business types, ethnicity, gender and age. The LPF board tries to select a class comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds who have demonstrated a talent, a commitment and a vocation for leadership.
