Will waive application and portfolio assessment fees
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (Sept. 21, 2016) ā Northern Kentucky University is offering informational sessions for students displaced by the sudden closure of ITT Tech campuses in Lexington, Louisville, Cincinnati and other areas.
StudentsĀ can receive one-on-one assistance aboutĀ admissions, financial aid and academic counseling during the events from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 26 and 29 at the NKU Welcome Center.Ā NKU also will waive its $40 application fee and $115 portfolio fee.
āWe want to help ensure that students affected by the closure can still pursue their dreams,ā said Kimberly Scranage, vice president of enrollment and degree management at NKU. āWe offer a number of high-tech academic programs, as well as strong pathway programs with our community and technical college partners. We are committed to providing one-on-one help so studentsā academic careers arenāt disrupted.ā
NKU also offers strong degree pathway programs through Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, Gateway Community & Technical College, or Jefferson Community & Technical College. Students enrolled in those programs enjoy all the amenities at NKU while studying at Cincinnati State, Gateway, or JCTCS toward a bachelorās degree. They are also able to transfer to NKU at a reduced tuition rate.
