Kentucky State University football player killed in shooting

Shot in Inglewood, Calif.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 16, 2017) — Kentucky State University football player Josh Williams died Tuesday during a shooting in Inglewood, Calif., KSU announced.

Williams was 24. The Inglewood resident was known for his hard-hitting style and played at KSU in 2014-2015.

“KSU Athletics is deeply saddened by the loss of one of its own,” said director of athletics William Head. “Another senseless act of violence silences a potential voice of leadership.”
