Executive director named for Kentucky Horse Park

Served as executive director of the Breeders’ Cup Festival

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 26, 2016) — The Kentucky Horse Park Commission today selected Laura Prewitt to serve as the executive director of the Kentucky Horse Park.

Prewitt most recently served as executive director of the Breeders’ Cup Festival, where she organized, directed and supervised the week-long event. Previously, Prewitt served as director of operations and then general manager of Lexington Off-Track Betting, LLC. Prewitt has years of leadership experience in the equine industry.

“We believe that Laura’s expertise in strategic planning, media and PR, human resources, management, and business development, coupled with her lifelong involvement in the horse industry in Kentucky, makes her uniquely qualified to serve as the Executive Director of the Horse Park,” said Tandy Patrick, chair of the Kentucky Horse Park Commission.”
