Attraction marks the eighth stop on the famous Kentucky Bourbon Trail
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 15, 2013) – Heaven Hill Distilleries celebrated the grand opening of its Evan Williams Bourbon Experience in Louisville on Thursday. The building – located on Louisville’s historic Whiskey Row – is the eighth stop on the famous Kentucky Bourbon Trail and the first ever in the city.

“Kentucky is already well-known for its rich bourbon tradition, and this newest stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail will only enhance that legacy,” said Gov. Steve Beshear, who was in attendance for the grand opening. “Bourbon is a big business, but more than an industry, bourbon is a culture, a history and a heritage built by generations of Kentuckians. I’m very excited to see this tradition grow.”
The Kentucky Bourbon Trail takes visitors inside the commonwealth’s bourbon distilleries. Guests experience the bourbon-making process, view the facilities and their beautiful surrounding landscapes, and stick around for an after-tour bourbon tasting. More than 2.5 million people have visited Kentucky Bourbon Trail distilleries in the past five years, including more than a half-million guests in 2012.
The Evan Williams Bourbon Experience will create 17 new jobs in the commonwealth and represents an investment of nearly $10 million.
