Governor makes appointments to boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (May 6, 2013) – Gov. Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission to serve for terms expiring March 1, 2017:

Faye Liebermann, of Lexington, is a retired labor executive. She represents labor and employees. Liebermann shall serve as chair of the commission.

Joe F. Childers, of Lexington, is an attorney. He represents the interest of the occupational safety and health profession.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Commission on Women:

Laken Gilbert, of Wallingford, is a law student. The appointment replaces Susan B. Edington, whose term has expired. Gilbert shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 17, 2017.

Mary Lynne Hartselle Capilouto, of Lexington, is a retired dental school dean. The appointment replaces Deloris A. Hatler, who has resigned. Capilouto shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Jan. 17, 2015.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the commission to serve for terms expiring Jan. 17, 2017:

Linda K. Breathitt, of Lexington, is a self-employed energy adviser and consultant for Southern State Energy Board.

Nicole V. Candler, of Louisville, is communications director at Masonic Homes of Kentucky.

Melissa Newman, of Barbourville, teaches in the department of communication at Eastern Kentucky University.

Madeline M. Abramson, of Louisville, is a community volunteer. Abramson shall serve as chair of the commission.
