LOUISVILLE — Caudill Seed’s subsidiary, Kentucky Fertilizer, is excited to announce the launch of two innovative products designed specifically for the turf industry: mini-lime pellets and mini-gypsum pellets.
These new offerings are engineered to provide optimal soil health and improve turf quality, catering to the needs of golf courses, sports fields, and professional landscapers. The mini-lime pellets are formulated to adjust soil pH levels efficiently, enhancing nutrient availability and promoting healthy grass growth. Meanwhile, the mini-gypsum pellets offer an effective solution for soil compaction and drainage issues, helping to improve soil structure and increase water infiltration.
Both products are designed for easy application, ensuring uniform distribution and quick results. Kentucky Fertilizer’s commitment to innovation and quality shines through in these new additions to their product line, as they continue to provide solutions that meet the evolving demands of the turf industry. With these launches, Kentucky Fertilizer aims to support turf managers in achieving lush, healthy, and resilient turf, setting a new standard in turf care and maintenance.
Especially helpful in hard-packed clay soil, pelletized gypsum is a prime source of calcium and sulfur, two nutrients required for healthy plant growth. Calcium is essential for root formation, plant cell elongation and wall structure. Sulfur is an important part of the formation of chlorophyll and essential for producing amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. Crops are increasingly deficient in sulfur because the level of sulfur in the atmosphere is declining.
Pelletized limestone raises the pH level of soil, helping moderate soil conditions and keep them in the ideal range for maximum yield. It also provides calcium and magnesium, two nutrients that plants need to thrive. Kentucky Fertilizer manufactures its pelletized limestone products at its facility in Winchester, Ky.
