Kentucky tourism advertising campaign wins national award

Kentucky Tourism’s Joy Ride campaign, which encourages out-of-state travelers to explore the backroads and small towns of Kentucky’s Bluegrass region, has won a Silver ADDY award on the national level in the American Advertising Federation’s ADDY Awards for its illustrated poster campaign.

The awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 35,000 entries every year. Kentucky advertising agency COOMER created the Joy Ride campaign, including the illustrated posters.

Inspired by historic advertising art around the turn of the century, the poster series highlights attractions and experiences found throughout Kentucky’s Bluegrass Region. (For a look at the entire poster campaign, click here.)
