SOMERSET, Ky. — The Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce recently announced that 37 citizens from a diverse range of Chamber member businesses and civic organizations will comprise the Chamber’s Leadership Class of 2024.
Leadership Lake Cumberland is a professional development program that informs people about the critical issues facing the community with a focus to inform and inspire future leaders — and challenge them to make a difference. It begins with an overnight retreat in April and ends in December with a graduation celebration, meeting for a full day once monthly for a session on topics such as Business, Technology, Education, Agriculture and Government. Through lecture, presentations, practical exercises, visitations, independent study and meetings with key community leaders, class members examine and experience ways to help the communities in which they live.
