Kaden Cos., Marquee Capital acquire thriving Springhurst Towne Center in Louisville’s East End

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kaden Companies has formed a partnership with Marquee Capital that last week acquired the 800,000-s.f. Springhurst Towne Center retail development in affluent eastern Jefferson County.

The new partnership entity is called BMA Springhurst LLC. Kaden Cos. is a local commercial real estate investment/development firm Marquee Capital is a Milwaukee, Wisc.-based real estate investment and asset management firm.

Springhurst Towne Center is one of the premier open-air retail destinations in Louisville, situated in the city’s affluent and densely populated east end. The center opened to the public in 1997 and was developed by Chattanooga, Tenn.-based CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. The center has maintained consistently high occupancy levels, with many of its original Tenants still operating today.

Kaden Companies, one of the largest owners of open-air retail centers throughout the Louisville MSA, has a significant history with the retail development of the Springhurst trade area. They developed the Home Depot Center and Springhurst Crossings retail center adjacent to Springhurst Towne Center.

The development spans over 800,000 s.f. and hosts premier retailers, including Kohl’s, Cinemark, TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Dicks Sporting Goods, and Hobby Lobby. Additionally, it is shadow-anchored by significant retailers, Target and Meijer.

Marquee Capital is the property’s managing agent and is responsible for lease administration and accounting services. Kaden Companies is the property manager responsible for on-site management, maintenance services, and leasing.
