A new study by addiction specialists, The Diamond Rehab, has analyzed search volume data for multiple phrases, terms, and queries related to work-related burnout over the last 12 months to determine which states are the most relaxed.
Taking the top spot on the list of the most relaxed states is Mississippi, with a monthly search volume of 284 per 100,000 residents for burnout-related terms and phrases. “Depersonalisation” was the most searched term in Mississippi, with 4,970 monthly searches on average.
Louisiana follows, taking the second spot on the list, with a monthly search volume of 347 per 100,000 residents for work burnout-related terms and phrases. Like Mississippi, “Depersonalisation” was the most frequently searched term related to burnout, with 9,630 average monthly searches.
Arkansas ranks third on the list, averaging a monthly search volume of 360 per 100,000 residents for work burnout-related terms and phrases. “Depersonalisation” was the most searched burnout-related term throughout the state, with 6,880 average monthly searches, followed by “burnout symptoms” and “stress management,” with 1,590 and 1,030 monthly searches, respectively.
Fourth place goes to Alabama, averaging a monthly search volume of 361 per 100,000 residents for work burnout-related terms and phrases. Like the previous entries on the list, “Depersonalisation” once again takes first place as the most searched burnout-related term, averaging 10,440 monthly searches.
South Carolina secures fifth place, with 379 average monthly searches per 100,000 residents for work burnout-related terms and phrases. Like the previous entries, ‘Depersonalisation” is the most searched burnout-related keyword, averaging 11,160 monthly searches.
The remainder of the top ten features South Dakota in sixth place, with a monthly search volume of 382 per 100,000 residents for work burnout-related terms and phrases. Seventh place goes to West Virginia, with a monthly search volume of 385 per 100,000 residents for work burnout-related terms and phrases.
Kentucky ranks eighth with a monthly search volume of 388 per 100,000 residents for work burnout-related terms and phrases. Oklahoma ranks ninth with a monthly search volume of 393 per 100,000 residents for work burnout-related terms and phrases.
Iowa ranks the list in tenth place with a monthly search volume of 395 per 100,000 residents for work burnout-related terms and phrases.
Interestingly, “Depersonalization” was universally the most searched burnout-related term across all states, followed – again universally – by “Burnout symptoms.”
Massachusetts was the most burnt-out state, taking the last spot on the list with 690 average monthly searches per 100,000 residents for work burnout-related terms and phrases – over double that of first place Mississippi.
The South dominates the table, with southern states securing eight of the top ten spots, with the only outliers being Iowa and South Dakota.
