MIDWAY, Ky. — Midway University received notification of its approval from the Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) on June 16 as a Rank 1 Program for its Master of Education Teacher Leader. Rank I is the highest rank in Kentucky and may allow for an increase in salary for teachers based on the local district pay scale that considers educational level and experience.

Adding the Rank 1 Program to our Teacher Leader degree makes our Master of Education an even more attractive program to teachers who want to advance their careers,” said Dr. Faye Deters, Chair of Midway University Department of Teacher Education. “Because of this commitment, we offer the state’s most affordable M.Ed. program. We have held our tuition rate at just $250 per credit hour for many years. Earlier this year, OnlineU recognized us for this and ranked our program as the Most Affordable Online Master’s Degree in Education in comparison to other programs around the U.S.”
Midway University offers the Master of Education (M.Ed.) Teacher Leader program online allows working teachers the flexibility of completing their graduate program on their schedule. The graduate classes are offered in 8-week modules, with classes starting five times throughout the year. The M.Ed. program offers tracks that allow teachers to finish in one or two years, depending on their schedule.
