CLERMONT, Ky. â Bernheim is pleased to announce that Youth and Family Program Manager Dan Pascucci has been appointed as the Chair of the Board for the Kentucky Association of Environmental Education (KAEE).

Dan has been working with Bernheimâs Education department since 2016 to further Bernheimâs mission of connecting people with nature. Dan has dedicated his career to helping people feel more passionate about the environment and their connection to the natural world. Before moving to Kentucky, Dan was the Education Director for the Kenai Watershed Forum, an environmental non-profit in southcentral Alaska, where he taught about water, watersheds, salmon, and the importance of caring for the environment. Dan has brought his passion, creativity, and energy to his work, utilizing songs, puppets, and shenanigans to ensure everyone has a great learning experience.
Over his career, Dan has been awarded NAI Sunny Southeast Regionâs Outstanding Interpreter award, the Jerry S. Dixon award for excellence in Environmental Education from the Alaska Conservation Foundation and was labelled a âKing Makerâ by the Kachemak Heritage Land Trust.
Danâs one-year term as the Chair of the Board of Directors at the Kentucky Association for Environmental Education began in September. The KAEEâs mission of working to build a sustainable Kentucky environment through education is well aligned with Bernheimâs mission of connecting people with nature. Through this role, Dan will carry knowledge from Bernheimâs education programs to environmental educators throughout the state and vice versa.
