According to an annual economic impact study compiled by the University of Cincinnati, expansions and new business relocations in 2007 created 1,355 primary jobs and 1,624 indirect jobs in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region, resulting in a total impact of more than $694 million in business sales for Northern Kentucky. The economic impact of the new jobs created in the Northern Kentucky region alone (which includes Boone, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton and Pendleton counties) is expected to add $124 million in household earnings and more than $42 million in retail businesses in the region.
