In an effort to reduce operating costs, Gibbs Die Casting Corp. is consolidating its Henderson facilities and will be operating out of two buildings instead of three. The consolidation will result in a reduction in temporary staffing for the Henderson-based company, which produces aluminum and magnesium die-cast components for the automotive industries. Company officials cited the declining automotive sales market as the primary factor behind their decision to consolidate operations. Earlier this year, the company offered severance incentives to employees who were willing to voluntarily leave their jobs.
