FabSol LLC has purchased the American National Rubber plant in Cadiz and hired the company’s 25 remaining employees. In December, American National Rubber, which primarily produced rubber products for the automotive industry, laid off 50 of its 75 employees in Cadiz due to declining sales. Ernie Baker, who was plant manager for ANR and is now continuing in that position with FabSol, told the Cadiz Record that he hopes to eventually hire back more of the workers who were laid off.
